Revenge

Have you seen Revenge? It’s as good as they say it is – trust me. Taking place in the Hamptons where secrets flow like champagne, this show has brought back the nighttime soap. Even if you weren’t a Melrose Place fan you have to admit that show was highly entertaining and it’s got nothing on Revenge which is like Lost meets Dallas in couture. The twists and turns are fun to follow, the dialogue is as sharp as it is campy and sometimes I think that the women on the show stole their sneers from Billy Idol.

A few quotes that demonstrate why Revenge is the most fun show on television to watch:

Nolan: “I smell the distinct aroma of retribution in the air.”

Victoria: “I see a pretty girl with cheap shoes and limited social graces.”

Jack: “So how was your visit to the land of entitled teenagers?”

Nolan: “I may have Jack’s blood all over my jacket but you have it all over your hands.”

Emily: “I Googled friendship on the interwebs. Apparently when you have a fight with a friend you’re supposed to apologize.”

Victoria: “I had my hands full. Perhaps you can tell me where your hands have been?”

Catch up on iTunes or abc.com and then tune in on Wednesday nights. Like Lost, the back stories are my favorite part and the way Emily ninjas her way around one of the most prestigious areas in the country is pretty amazing. She literally will do whatever it takes to get revenge on every person responsible for the time she and her father spent in lock up – she even did Kill Bill-type training to prepare.
