Welcome to 2020! It’s been interesting reading everyone’s posts on New Year’s Day because, as many have pointed out, it’s not only a new year but a new decade. People have been reviewing their decade by listing professional and personal highs, lows, accomplishments, challenges, and most memorable moments. I decided to go through my concert ticket archives and make a list of those instead.
I started saving my ticket stubs in 1996 and, overall, I’ve been pretty diligent about it. Here is what I have for 2010 – 2019:
2010

2013
Prince, 5/13/13, Ogden Theatre
Although I only have record of seeing one live show in 2013 (I can’t believe that!), it was Prince in a tiny venue so that counts for something! I figured out that my lack of live music attendance was due to traveling a lot that year, quitting my job of seven years, moving to Vail, and beginning my tenure as a DJ on Radio Free Minturn.
2014
Nappy Roots, 1/5/14, Agave
The Hot Sardines: Speakeasy Nights, 10/12/14, Vilar Performing Arts Center
Drop Top Lincoln, 10/17/14, Palisade Brewing Company
2015
Robert Randolph and the Family Band, 8/12/15, Nottingham Park
2015 was another busy traveling year (Steamboat, Aspen, Miami, San Diego, Mexico, etc.) and my significant other started a business that year as well.
2016
Leann Rimes, 2/27/16, Vilar Performing Arts Center
Outlaws & Legends Music Festival: Ryan Bingham, Deana Carter, and Sonia Leigh, 7/30/16, Nottingham Park

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers + Joe Walsh, 5/30/17, Red Rocks Amphitheatre

We had our baby boy in May so I consider two concerts a win for 2019!
Looking forward to more live music in 2020!
